About our chapter

Founded in 2007

Upstate Sorba is a local chapter of the Southern Off Road Bicycle Association.

We are a 100% volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving off-road biking within the Upstate region of South Carolina.

Upstate SORBA is a fully volunteer-driven, trail advocacy organization dedicated to serving the Upstate region of South Carolina. We collaborate with land managers and community members to promote responsible, sustainable policies for both public and private spaces. We conserve and maintain trail systems in the upstate including Paris Mountain State Park, Pleasant Ridge, Lakeside, Lake Whelchel, Conestee Nature Preserve, Gateway Park, and the urban trails of downtown Greenville. In addition to our advocacy efforts, we prioritize socialization and community engagement around mountain biking, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds.

Whether on the trails or at events, we aim to create opportunities for people to connect, share experiences, and build a stronger, more vibrant mountain biking community.
