FEATURED PROJECT
rad rabbit 2
Upstate SORBA is excited to be working on a dirt trail segment adjoining the Swamp Rabbit Trail—Rad Rabbit 2!
This upcoming addition will be located between the train at the Sulphur Springs Road crossing and the “Girl on the Strider” statue behind Lakeview Middle School. Designed as a singletrack sidewalk, Rad Rabbit 2 will offer a fun and approachable mountain biking experience for riders of all skill levels, simulating the challenges of natural trail features in a beginner-friendly format. This project is slated to be completed in the fall of 2025!

Introducing Rad Rabbit 2
Upstate SORBA is excited to announce our latest trail-initiative: Rad Rabbit 2, a new dirt-singletrack segment adjoining the Swamp Rabbit Trail (recently covered by The Post & Courier). This project is currently in development with planned completion over the course of this month and we are actively fundraising to bring it to life.
Rad Rabbit 2 will be located between the train at the Sulphur Springs Road crossing and the “Girl on the Strider” statue behind Lakeview Middle School.
Designed as a “single-track sidewalk,” the segment will offer a fun, approachable mountain-biking experience for riders of all skill levels — beginners included.
The goal is to simulate natural trail features in a friendly format, blending accessibility with excitement.
Target completion is slated for the end of November 2025.
Overview
Starting from the north side, riders drop into a line of progressive dirt rollers, roll seamlessly onto the wooden features, carve through a flagstone S-turn, crest the Mountain Top feature, and finish with a fun, flowing turn back onto the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
Location
Rad Rabbit 2 will be located between the train at the Sulphur Springs Road crossing and the “Girl on the Strider” statue behind Lakeview Middle School.
